The Hon Justice Berna Collier is acting President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) from 1 May 2023.
The Hon Justice Susan Kenny AM had been acting AAT President since 16 December 2022. This followed earlier periods of acting by Justice Collier and Justice Kenny. AAT members and staff appreciate the guidance provided by both Justices as acting Presidents to enable the continued delivery of independent merits review services after the resignation of the former President, the Hon Justice Fiona Meagher, on 30 November 2022.
On 16 February 2023, the Australian Government announced that it had commenced a process to appoint a new President who will become the inaugural President of a new review body.
