A new step-by-step video guide – providing submissions and documents in searchable PDF format has been created to assist representatives with compiling PDF searchable submissions for migration and refugee cases in accordance with the COVID-19 Special Measures Practice Direction.
The COVID-19 Special Measures Practice Direction - Migration and Refugee provides guidance for lodging documents prior to hearing (paragraphs 6.11-6.13). According to the Practice Direction, if the applicant has a representative, to the extent possible, the documents should be in searchable PDF format with:
- each document given a separate number
- each page numbered sequentially
- an index with the pagination set out and links to each document.
