Time limits for lodging applications for review
The general rule is that an application for review of a decision must be made to the AAT within 28 days after the day on which the person is given the reviewable decision: section 29(2) of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975. However, this time limit can be varied, most often by the enactment pursuant to which the reviewable decision was made.

The alphabetical table of enactments which can be downloaded below lists decisions in relation to which the standard 28-day time limit for making an application for review has been varied.
This list is maintained by the AAT's Legal and Policy Section. Any queries in relation to this list can be directed to research@aat.gov.au.
Warning: This table should be used in conjunction with the Tribunal's Jurisdiction List which is a regularly updated summary of all enactments which confer jurisdiction on the Tribunal. The table should not be used as a substitute for that list.
